We photograph everyday life constantly, usually with our phones. Worthy is a self-initiated Sony campaign for the everyday moments people usually leave to their phones. Through photography, understated headlines, and a consistent campaign system, the concept makes a case for seeing familiar things differently.

Everyday phone photographers who document pets, kids, home, and nature, and who've never thought a dedicated camera was meant for them.

Sony 'Backyard.' poster: a fox sitting in a wooden barrel.
Sony 'Him.' poster: a child jumping in a puddle.

Each ad pairs a carefully photographed everyday subject with a one-word headline: Weeds. Backyard. Him. Dinner.

The line underneath points out what the phone missed: blown-out greens, a blurry subject, a moment that happened too fast.

The four Worthy posters: Weeds, Backyard, Him, and Dinner.

Every ad follows the same format: a one-word headline, a line about what the phone missed, the tagline “Some things deserve a real camera,” and the Sony logo.

The subjects change, but the concept stays consistent across posters, magazine ads, and digital placements.

On digital displays in stations and malls, each ad unfolds over six seconds. The image appears first, followed by the headline and the line about what the phone missed.

Social brings the photography forward. Some posts use the campaign’s imagery; others invite people to share ordinary moments of their own using #SonyWorthy.
