Chasing Light

I wander through Colorado and beyond chasing light: golden sunsets, mountain weather and the moments that don’t last. Photography is how I slow down and notice.

A field of purple lupine above a mountain valley at sunrise
Lupine in the foreground under a pink sky, with a pyramid-shaped peak behind
A small cabin lit by glowing orange aspens below snowy peaks and a dark forest
A turquoise river plunging into a narrow mossy canyon under low mist
A wave exploding against a basalt-column sea cliff topped with green grass
A thin waterfall deep in a green moss-covered gorge beneath a cloud-capped peak
A split-rail fence in golden grass before snow-covered peaks under sweeping clouds
A car winding down a serpentine mountain road through pines at sunset
A highway heading west into layered blue mountains under a blazing orange sunset
Snow-capped peaks rising behind the Great Sand Dunes, with golden grass blurred in the foreground
A red-dirt trail through a forest of white aspen trunks and golden leaves
Sunbeams falling through moss-draped trees onto a giant trunk and a carpet of ferns
